The Mediterranean Dimension of EU's Internal Security
Interested in the External Dimension of Justice and Home Affairs this project looks into the Mediterranean Dimension of EU's internal Security. Arguing that JHA has become an objective of European Foreign Policy, this project relies on the case of police and judicial cooperation in the fields of border management and terrorism between the EU, Morocco and Egypt. These two case studies are used to understand the policy mechanisms behind the foreign policy dimension of JHA. It is interested in understanding why did the EU develop such a dimension towards its Mediterranean partners, relying both on internal and external explanatory variables.
